Do you want to learn about the unique way that your body moves and occupies space in the world?

Do you feel the need to release negative energy, cultivate independence and self-confidence, or develop ways to deal with stress?

I'm Ren

Join me as we use yoga to move past obstacles to reach our higher selves. I try to create a safe space for people of different abilities, ages, and ethnocultural backgrounds to explore yoga--especially if they haven't tried it before!

I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) through Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio (TAYS) in Halifax, NS. TAYS focuses on injury prevention through a focus on anatomy and listening to cues from the body. Their instructors encourage students to take an approach of curiosity and inquiry into their yoga practice, finding out what is possible for their bodies. I teach hatha vinyasa, and yin yoga classes, encouraging students to move at their own pace and make modifications to suit their level of flexibility and ability. As my instructor Helen Fong says of yin yoga, "The trick is to find your edge, then relax into the pose."
